Messenger for Facebook - Chat Lite App Reviews

I’m very happy that it’s so easy to messaging with my facebook friends.

Hey was looking for a app because i was tired of logging into my web browser. I know apps are not made for mac offten but thank you! Ok so if you need just a chat option this is it. the only thing its missing is the notifcations thats what you have to pay for.

I like the idea of taking messenger out of the web browser and using it as a stand alone Mac app. It becomes a lot easy to chat on messenger on Mac. The app is really good and works very fast. Probably the best app for Messenger on Mac.

I got my hands no this app last week and i must say that its a legit app for Facebook Messenger. It is more convenient than the web browser. One suggestion. If the contact list could have been a bit smaller, would look great. other than that its an excellent app.

I like this app! I dont have to suffer opening firefox just to reach facebook. bothered by the toll it has on my devices memory! Sure. it just loads the mobile version of the website. but it beats having to open a browser just to access your page. Thank you for this。

I really enjoy using messenger on my phone and wanted to have that experience on my laptop. The app is just like facebook messenger BUT the contact list is WAY WAY too wide and you can’t resize it. I honestly can’t use this cause I find it so annoying. Please fix, and I’ll be glad to start using this and switch my score to 5 stars.

Basically Messenger for Facebook, just like it is on an iPhone, but for Mac. Nice features to add would be drag-able chat’s around the screen, like android’s have or the old facebook app had, and resizing options for the contacts menu on the left side, it takes up far too much space than it needs. But for having a simple program that can be pinned to the Dock and gives a quick place to message without opening a browser, this is a great solution.

I agree with the review i read, the contacts bar is waaaaaaaay too wide. You should change that.

Great app, exactly what I was looking for. However, I notice that sometimes videos do not play. PLEASE consider adding a dark theme (black background/menu bars). It would be much easier on the eyes. Fixing these two things would put this app over the top. I don’t understand why all these big companies insist on their default UI’s being a blinding white theme… I’m sure people would overwhelmingly choose dark themes if given the option.

This app is great. I love it, but, there’s one little thing that’s been buggy. Ever since the new update, when I type, the cursor jumps around and puts letters wherever it wants. If there could be an update to fix this bug, I’d rate it 5 stars again.

Your GO PRO window is rife with misspellings. Really makes one want to pay 2.99 just to make that stupidity go away. Actually, no. It makes one wonder why they’d ever pay you any money.

I would give this app 5 stars, but one major bug that happens on my computer is that the message bar is on the top instead of the bottom, which makes it more confusing and im trying to move it to the bottom, but there isn’t any support with that. I would appreciate it if that was fixed. Otherwise, it works like the messenger app on my phone and online!

i love this app but the only thing i cant do is move the windows around. and this is coming from some one who uses alot of chat apps please fix this thank you

I’ve been using this app for awhile and it was great! Then the other day it broke. Tried everything to fix it but alas no. The text enter is somehow at the top of conversations now and I can’t access stickers, send photos, etc as a result. The info view for those I’m chatting with is also broken. Disappointing because up until then I loved it and now I can’t even use it.

I loved the app until the message bar suddenly migrated to the top of the message, so now I can’t see the stickers anymore! and it’s just plain distracting and confusing. Please tell me how to fix this, or please come out with a new version that fixes this. Otherwise, this app deserves 5 stars. Thanks!

My typing bar is stuck @ the top and no matter what I do I can’t fix it. It is driving me nuts! I love the app but this is one thing that is making me not want to use :( Please fix!! Overall, the app is great! I don’t have annoying pop up messenger boxes on the site and I can just use the app to talk to friends when I want to without having the web browser open!

I think the main thing that makes this app awkward in any sense is that the typing occurs at the TOP of the chat rather than at the bottom. This means that menus that normally appear above the typing bar (like emojis) try to appear but cannot, since they run past the top of the window. Placing this typing space at the bottom of the chat rather than the top might help future implementation of support for these and other features.

I can’t move the window around the screen at all. I can resize it from the edges, or hit the full screen button. But the “Handle” doesn’t work if you try to grab from the top of the window. Also, the list of chats is misleading. I went to send a message to my girlfriend, and it went to my best friend instead. I will now get years or torture commentary from my friend for that. Thanks M4FB. I am running OS X 10.11, and am running version 1.2 of this app at the time of writing this.
